Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Bewitched Bothered, Bewildered
Martin

"So Amy," Martin said as they sat together on the bleachers,
watching the football team practice. "How's the studying coming?"
Amy knew he wasn't talking about school. "Well." she said.
"I mean, I'm no Jedi Master or anything, but I'm really starting to get
a handle on it."
"Well," Martin warned. "Just be careful, as long as we're
using Star Wars analogies, `beware hate, fear, anger, aggression, the
Dark Side are they`."
Amy smiled. "Martin that was an excellent Yoda imitation!"
"You are an expert at changing the subject aren't you?" Martin
laughed.
"Yes I am." She took his hand and squeezed it. "So where are
you taking me tonight for our first Valentine's Day together?"
"Well," Martin said. "I was thinking, a romantic, moonlit
dinner for two in the Highlands of Scotland."
	"Scotland?"
"Well that's just an idea, if you have another place in
mind..."
"That's what I love about dating a teleporter." Amy sighed.
"Transportation's never a problem."

"Hey Martin," Oz said, stopping Martin in the hall the next
day. "Did you hear what happened?"
"No," Martin said. "I did not hear what happened. Tell me o'
Great and Powerfull Oz, what happened."
"Okay," Oz began. "First, I kinda wish you'd stop saying that.
And second, Xander and Cordelia broke up."
"They did?" Martin gasped, taken aback. "But I just got used
to them going out! It's not fair, the world never let's me catch up!"

Leaving Oz in the hall, Martin headed towards his first class.
He saw Xander leaving a classroom, looking purposeful, and like he was
trying not to be noticed. Immediately after, Amy left too.
"Tim Allen questioning grunt." Martin muttered. "What was that
all about? Ah well." Dismissing it from his mind, he smiled as he
approached Amy.
"Amy!" he called, getting her attention.
"Nothing!" she cried, spinning around. Seeing him, she quickly
amended; "I mean Hi!" she smiled nervously.
"Uh, yeah," Martin said. He thought for a moment, then
grinned. "Oh I get it." he said. "You were talking to Xander about
our date last night."
	"Uh, okay." Amy smiled.
"Look," Martin apologized again. "I'm sorry. I had no idea
Megabyte was gonna show up with a violin."
"Well it wouldn't have been too bad if he knew how to play it."

Amy had made some excuse to miss their study date last night.
Martin was not a suspicious person by nature, not of Amy anyway, but
something just didn't sit right with him. He resolved to find out what
was going on that day. But first he had to find her.
She was not at her locker, or on the bleachers, or even at any
of her classes.
"What the hell is going on?" he wondered. "Hmmm, maybe she's
gotten mixed up in some magic she couldn't control. So she's either
vaporized herself, turned herself into a newt, or in the library.

Martin stood, silently shocked at the sight before him. Xander
was standing, shocked as well, but not quite silently. Amy watched
Xander intently, who was staring at the spot where Buffy had just
stood.
Martin had just silently witnessed Amy fight with Buffy, over
Xander.
"What the hell!" he finally shouted, drawing attention to
himself. Both Amy and Xander had failed to notice him before now.
"You couldn't even tell me?" Martin went on. "You had to go
behind my back?!"
"I'm sorry Martin," Amy said, not sounding the least bit sorry.
	"Sorry? Fuck sorry!"
"Martin," Xander protested. "This isn't how it looks-" But it
was too little too late. With a flash of light, Martin was gone.
	"Aw shit." Xander muttered.

Epilogue:
"Hey Amy." Willow said, sitting down next to Amy on the
bleachers.
"Oh, hey Willow." Amy murmured. "I'm sorry about,"
"Hey," Willow interrupted. "It's not your fault, not really.
This was just Xander being stupid."
"Yeah." Amy smiled sadly. "Too bad we had to pay for it huh."
	"Martin still isn't back?"
"Nope. He's been gone for two days."
"Well, I'm sure all he needs is some time to calm down." Willow
assured her. "Then he'll come back, and you and Xander can explain
what happened, and I'm sure he'll forgive you."
	"Yeah." Amy said. "Sure."
