Homecoming: The Drama Club by Ben: The Vampire Hunter b_church@yahoo.com Feedback! Please! Joss owns most of 'em. "Buffy's running for Homecoming Queen?" Nicole snorted. She looked at Oz. "Are you kidding me? I thought she'd outgrown that stuff." "Well I'm not hugely up on all the details." the Guitar playing Werewolf replied. "But Cordelia provoked her." "That I'll believe." Micky said. He was drafting his plan for the set in their upcoming production of Sweeny Todd. The rest of the Drama Club was sitting around, some goofing, others were sitting in a huge group, conversing, discussing the upcoming Homecoming Halls. "So who are you gonna vote for?" Matt Siegal asked. "I wasn't really planning to vote actually." Oz said. "What a coincidence." Izzy said. "Neither were we." "None of you?" Oz wanted to make sure. "Not that I know of." Micky confirmed. "Though we no longer consider Cordy to be the Devil, like we did before she did crew last year, we're still morally opposed to the whole Homecoming Queen thing. And yes, as the President of the Drama Club, I do speak for us all." Oz nodded. "That was pretty much as I expected. That's why I feel guilt free discussing it with you guys." "Besides," Nicole said. "We have our hands full getting ready for the show, and our hall. We have to win." "Speaking of which," Ziggy spoke up from the Hall Discussing Group. "Izzy, is Ben bringing the Kermit Puppet home for us?" "Yes he is." Ben said from behind. Nicole leaped up and hugged him. "Ben! What are you doing here?" "Izzy didn't tell you I was coming?" he grinned. "I'm home for a short break. And I brung the puppet." He held forth the puppet, and his video camera. "And you guys have got to see this." he hooked the camera up to the monitor. The picture came on. It was Cordy crusading to be the Homecoming Queen. "Are you kidding?" she said. "I've been doing the Vulcan Death Grip since I was Twelve!" She then proceeded to hit the boy in front of her on the forehead with her hand, which she'd formed into the Vulcan salute. The room erupted into uncontrollable laughter. "Well we have to give her credit for being able to make the salute at all." Oz said calmly. Though a tiny smirk gave away his amusement. "Looks like she just lost the Trekkie vote." Micky smiled. "Thanks Ben. That made my day." The End
