X-Men of Tomorrow The X-Men, Gyric and the Sentinel are the property of Marvel Comics. Mulder and Scully are owned by either Ten Thirteen Productions or Fox. The Tomorrow People are the property of Nickelodeon Studios. Chapter 6 New York, New York April 18 9:00 a.m. "All right here's my plan." Hotshot explained. "We plant Gyric with a homing device, and let him get captured. Once we know where the lady's hideout is, we just teleport in. Most of us will keep the Sentinel busy, while Megabyte and I find and release the X-Men. Once that's done, Mulder, Scully, and General Damon can arrest that lady on whatever charges they want. Then, Gyric, the X-Men, and the rest of us go home." "I can't believe I'm taking orders from a teenager." Scully said softly. "That's okay," Gyric said irritably. "I can't believe I'm sitting here letting a mutie decide my fate." "I'm not giving any orders, or deciding anybody's fate." Hotshot snapped. "I just gave you my idea. Do either of you have a better one?" "How do I know you won't just let me rot here?" Gyric asked him. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted Gyric. But unlike you, I don't give in to my primitive emotions, such as prejudice and hate." "Listen you little mutie punk-" "Both of you shut up!" Scully said. "Hotshot, I apologize for what I said. But I'm still not sure what's going on. What is a mutie? Who is Gyric? Who are the X-Men? And basically, what the hell are you talking about?" "In my world, humans have started to evolve again. People are being born with powers that normal humans don't have. The common term for these people is Mutant. But the derogatory term is Mutie. There are many people, like Gyric, who hate us simply because we are different. No, sorry, that's not fair. They hate us because we have power, and they fear us. Gyric is some high up in the US Gov. in my world. He created those robots that you just saw to try to protect humans from mutants. The X-Men are a group of mutants who have banded together to use their powers for the benefit of mankind. Both human and Mutant." "In a pig's eye." Gyric snorted. "Listen dickweed-" Jubilee began. "Let it go Lee." Hotshot snapped. Miraculously, she did. "This is ridiculous." Scully said skeptically. "Alternate dimensions? Superpowers? What you've described is scientifically impossible." Hotshot calmly picked up a rock from the ground and held it out for her to see. While she watched, the rock began to glow red, and then melted. Scully's eye's widened. "I believe I've made my point." New York, New York April 18 10:00 a.m. Gyric sweated. He did not rust these mutants, but this was the only plan they'd come up with. Finally, he heard the sound of the approaching Sentinel. He was scared, but he'd show those damn muties the courage that a real human had. He looked up at the robot as it descended. Hotshot watched from a distance as Gyric was captured by the Sentinel. "All right, it's got him." he said. "Now let's see...the signal's coming strong. They're headed north, north east." "Can you tell where they're headed?" Mulder asked. "Not yet. Not till they stop. Damn they're going fast." An hour later, the signal stopped moving. "Got it! They're at coordinates 21 by 72! Guys, lets go kick some butt." Somewhere April 18 11:00 a.m. "So Mr. Gyric." the woman said. "We meet again." "I want my Sentinel back." Gyric said. "Oh my dear man," the woman laughed. "You're not in any position to demand anything." "But we are lady." Damon said, behind her. "You're under arrest." Damon, Mulder, and Scully were standing around her with guns pointed at her. "What? How did you get in here?" the woman shouted. "Sentinel! Stop them!" The Sentinel didn't move. Gyric grinned. "Looks like your control over him is less than complete." "That's why I needed your access code. But no matter. The robot is already acting on it's previous commands, to capture all those who are genetically different from normal humans. As for the rest of you..." "Hello General." said a voice behind them. Five men stood surrounding them. All had their guns trained unswervingly at them. "Masters," Damon said angrily. "That's right General. Me. Did you really think you could keep me locked up?" To be continued...
