I couldn't find anything physically wrong with this horse either. He was a pretty white stallion.

And the worst of them all was this poor pony. She was so near death, that she didn't have the strength to even stand. She had attracted quite a crowd of onlookers, when the owner of this poor beast came and pushed her onto her feet. He looked at all of us and told the crowd that she was "Just resting"!!  Her breathing was very labored, and you could tell from a glance that she was just waiting to die. It was obvious that this guy didn't care one bit about her welfare. It is my guess that she was sold for slaughter, regardless of her condition, and shoved into a large trailer bound for the slaughter house. Since she couldn't stand up for long, it is very likely that she could have been trampled to death inside the horse trailer. If, by chance, she survived that, all that awaited her was the bolt gun in the slaughterhouse.

These horses could have been anything before they ended up here. A child's pony, a working drafthorse, a carriage horse, a hunter/jumper, western, trail horse. Anything. What did they do to deserve an end like this?
