Nicktendo 64

A fierce rainstorm rattled the windowpanes of the hotel. Lightning flashed lighting up the room revealing Nick sitting in the dark playing an N64 game. The room darkened again and thunder rumbled.

"I'm so glad that we're in here," Nick said to Brian, who was sitting on the bed.

"Yeah," Brian agreed, "but I'm not quite sure you should be playing that thing in this storm."

"Oh what's gonna happen?" Nick asked. "It's not like it's gonna suck me in."

Lightning flashed again and Nick jumped slightly. "Come on Bri, just one game of Mario Kart? I'll switch it," Nick said touching the Nintendo game.

Brian crawled to the edge of the bed and picked up the second controller.

Through the window a lightning bolt streaked across the sky hitting a power line making the TV flicker and go out. Inside the darkened hotel room Nick started fiddling with the plugs. Lightning flashed again and suddenly the TV started to glow a bright green.

On the screen the figure of a beautiful girl became visible. She looked scared. Nick recognized her as a girl that he had serenaded at the concert that took place earlier that night.

"Nick help me!" she pleaded. Her voice echoed like she was in an empty room. She frantically banged on the glass. "You remember me, don't you Nick?" Her voice was urgent yet eerie. "My name's Kathryn, you sang to me at the concert. You remember, don't you?" Her dark eyes filled with fear. She pressed the palm of her hand against the TV screen.

Nick touched the glass and suddenly it melted away and he fell through the screen and onto Kathryn. She was pinned beneath him and she giggled when Nick jumped up.

"I'm so sorry," Nick apologized, helping her to her feet.

Kathryn immediately hugged Nick, letting out tears of relief.

Suddenly Kathryn was pulled away from him. "You'll never be able to see her again!" a voice said. "Here you'll play by MY rules and what I say, goes." Nick looked around for the source of the voice but the room was dark and he was alone.

"I'll get you for this!" he screamed. The anger in his voice echoed and he found himself in the middle of a Nintendo game.

"Oh no!" he yelled. "I can't even beat this level, it's impossible!"

Nick looked around, he was on a blue platform. All around him was a bottomless pit. In front of him was a bridge. He crossed it carefully and was met my by a swarm of reporters.

"Funny, when did Super Mario turn into my life?"

He kicked a reporter in the head and kept going. Nick turned a corner and a bunch of screaming girls started chasing him. "Now this is more like it!" he thought out loud. He ran and ran dodging reporters and photographs until he came to a tunnel.

Nick climbed down and was met by Justin of *N Sync.

"You'll never get Kathryn back. She's mine!" Justin laughed.

"That's what you think!" Nick said. "You're just jealous!"

Nick punched Justin in the stomach and he doubled over in pain. Nick looked around. They were on stage, which was surrounded by obsessive *N Sync fans, the worst kind.

Nick cornered Justin and pushed him off the stage. He screamed and the girls grabbed him. Nick smiled.

Kathryn ran out from backstage and hugged Nick.

"Nick... Nick..." she said.

Nick closed his eyes and hugged Kathryn.

"Nick... Nick..." Brian said. "Get off me man!"

Nick opened his eyes and realized he was hugging Brian. Nick jumped up.

"That must have been a really big shock you got from those plugs," Brian said picking up the Nintendo controller. "You were out cold."

Nick breathed a sigh of relief feeling quite glad that he didn't try to kiss that girl.

"Come on Frack, race ya," Brian said.

"Not right now," Nick said laying down on the bed. "I'm tired."
