I'd love to know how a soul harmony group like The Festivals (Earl Moss, Vaughn and Wood Price, and Leon Thomas) hooked up with manager/producer Jerry Ross and came to be signed to his Philadelphia-based Colossus label (which specialized in Dutch bands). Their debut for Colossus, the 'A' side's a classic slice of early-1970s soul ... great original song with fantastic lead and harmony vocals. Why wasn't this a top-10 hit? The flip's a pretty, but less impressive ballad.
