I guess the 'A" side is a little better than the Harry Chapin original.  Maybe not ... who cares.  In contrast, the original flip side was actually a pretty nice slice of swamp-pop (not swamp-rock) made more impressive by the fact it was written by an Englishman.  Nice melody and the group's trademarked harmonies make it at least listenable.
