Yes this is disco at it's mindless peak.  That said you have to give some credit to Vincent Montana Jr. for creating an interesting mix Latin moves, Philadelphia International influenced soul, and George Clinton funk moves.  Would I want to hear an album full of this stuff?  No, but taken in a small dose (the 'A' side), it has it moments.  The flip side is interesting for its length - almost seven minutes !!!
