| Comments | When I was in college The Isley Brothers were the band ... their ability to mesh rock, soul and funk was unlike anything else going on - plus they wrote some killer songs. The 'A' side is a classic slice of their mid-1970s sound. Pounding and urgent, it sounds a little too much like some of the earlier stuff to be a pure classic, but it's still pretty impressive. The flip side instrumental showcases Ernie Isley's Hendrix-styled lead guitar. |
