Anyone familiar with the three Pezband studio LPs ("Pezband", "Laughing in the Dark", and "Cover to Cover") was likely to be surprised by how hard this 1978 four track English EP rocked.  Produced by Jesse Hood Jackson, and recorded at London's Dingwalls club, the 12" extended play featured four killer live selections:

- Always one of their best originals, 'Stop Wait a Minute' got even better in a live environment.  Stripped down and showcasing Betinis' throat shredding vocals, this was true power pop.  Be sure to check out the blazing Tommy Gawenda solo.

- Showcasing the band's fantastic rhythm section of Mike Gorman and Mick rain, the pounding 'Lovesmith' was even better.

- A pounding and simply manic cover of Buddy Holly's 'Not Dade Away'.

- An equally energetic cover of The Swinging Blue Jeans' rock chestnut 'Hippy Hippy Shake' (always loved the mock English accent on the 'see you in America' closing comment).

Within a year Passport Records had dropped the band.  Bassist Gorman quit, reappearing in the band Off Broadway.  Former bassist Pazdan returned in the bass role.

A year later the band briefly reunited to record some additional material in Los Angeles for producer Paul Broucek.  Unfortunately their recording deal failed to materialize and the band called it quits.

Betinis stayed in L.A. working with original Cheap Trick bassist Tom Petersson.  He subsequently returned to Chicago and formed Black & Blond.

Pazdan remained active in music, forming a series of roots-rock oriented outfits including The Insiders and Big Guitars from Memphis.  He also worked as a sessions bassist at Chicago's Kingston Mines Studio.

Rain moved to Florida, form The Tantrums.

Gawenda joined U.S.S.A, followed by a stint in Wild Blue.

24 years later, 2006 saw  Betinis, Pazdan, and Rain regroup and start playing together around Chicago.
