Here's one that's largely a mystery to us. Written and performed by Michael Chain, with Mike post producing 1969's "Pinkiny Canandy" was apparently intended as a concept piece, though we don't have a clue what the story was, let alone how the pink suited superhero fit into the plotline. Assuming it was Chain who handled the vocals, he had a nice, if anonymous voice with a chameleon quality that allowed him to bounce all over the place, taking capable stabs at bubblegum pop ("Boop-Boop-A-Doop"), rock ("Goodbye Goodbye") and even country ("Mutual Indemnity"). Personal favorite, the opener "Hello Hello". The set seems to have vanished without a trace, followed in short order by Chain. (The collection was originally released with a gatefold sleeve.)
