Yeah they're branded with the one hit wonder label, though the actually recorded a series of four albums and a handful of singles ...

Having scored a massive worldwide hit with the single 'In the Year 2525' and the parent album you would have thought that their cleverly-titled 1970 follow-up would have enjoyed similar sales and success.  Didn't happen which may explain why you don't see this one all that often.  Co-produced by Ted Daryll and Ray Cork Jr., "Zager & Evans" sounded very much like the earlier set.  Evans was again responsible for all of the material, tracks like 'During REM', 'Reginald Ludwig' and 'The Plastic Park' all sharing a similar pompous, pseudo-intellectual, psycho-babble feel.  Unfortunately none of the ten songs was particularly impressive.  Apparently out of good ideas, the pair seemed content to substitute baroque orchestration and already dated sound effects for quality ('Overture' and 'The Candy Machine').  The horn propelled 'In My House' came the closest to being something you could actually listen to though the lyrics sound like they were cobbled together by a third grade English class.  RCA actually tapped the album for a couple of singles, but neither did anything commercially:
