The Child of Darkness

Fibrizo was taking a stroll down the fields of an unknown country. He was feeling so down because the LON had punished him for breaking her most precious vase…like do they have vases or what…sure, they live lives of humans too…eating, sleeping, having fun, collecting, etc… no one’s perfect, you know…
He wanted to kill everyone he meets but as punishment, the LON took away his powers for awhile. So, he could not do anything but stare at the people who annoy him or maybe cry and start a tantrum. He recalls the time when Xelas Metallium called him a "spoiled brat!" and he didn’t like it. Graushaila also told him that he’s a spoiled brat. Garv didn’t say anything but he knows that he’s thinking that Fibrizo’s also a spoiled brat. Dolphin didn’t make any comment and Fibrizo didn’t care. For all he cared for an insane mazoku like Dolphin…that’s why he’s always isolated and Xelas hates that Deep Sea.
"Damn it! I hate my life!" he told himself with a pouting face. Then, he looked up at the skies and flopped down on the green grass beneath him. The fall hurt his back but he didn’t mind it. "Maybe there are bugs somewhere here…" he thought with a naughty grin. Then, he changed his mind. "Nah…if I scare Xelas with a bug, she’ll tell on mom and mom might punish me again! Maybe next time, she’ll take away my life…" he said with a bit of disappointment in his eyes. Then, to his surprise, he heard someone approaching. He didn’t bother to look but he said. "Go away!"
"Hello," said a little girl’s voice.
Fibrizo sat up, frowning and stared at the little girl with pink hair and an apron dress. He looked at her from head to toe. "What do you want anyway?" Fibrizo asked.
"Are you alone?" she asked.
"Yeah…for all you care." He answered.
"Do you wanna play?" she asked. Fibrizo was surprised. Did someone actually asked him to play? He shrugged and his frown disappeared as he looked away. "Yeah sure…" he said as he stood up. "What are we playing?" he asked.
"Tag?" she asked. "Sure!" Fibrizo answered, suddenly feeling happy. "Who’s the it?" she asked. "I’ll be the it!" he answered as he began to run.
The little girl laughed and ran off, and the 2 began a game of tag.
Fibrizo giggled as he caught up with her and tagged her. "You’re it!" he said happily. The little girl smiled and chased him.
"By the way, my name is Fibrizo!" he told her. "I’m Kira!" she answered.
Then, he tripped and fell, hurt his knee. Kira stopped running and came to his aid. "Are you okay, Fibrizo?" she asked. "Ow…" he answered, hating the pain. "If only mom didn’t take away my powers, I could heal myself…" he said.
"Powers?" she asked. "Yeah…" he answered. Then he realized that this girl didn’t know that she’s talking to the Hell Master…which is him alright…
He smiled. "Don’t worry, I’ll be fine…" he answered gently. Kira had a worried look on her face. "Are you sure?" she asked, concerned. Fibrizo nodded. Then, Kira got her handkerchief and used it as bandage for his knee. Fibrizo watched as she did this. No one has been so good to him like that…in the mazoku world, when he gets wounded, they would leave him alone, knowing that he could heal himself. Then, he frowned. "Why am I so good today?! I’m not supposed to be good! I’m supposed to be bad!" he told himself angrily. Then, after Kira tied the knot, he brought out some marbles…the ones he uses for killing. But he stopped. "I couldn’t kill this girl…she is kind to me!" he told himself. "You play marbles?" he said instead. "No…boys play that game, I don’t play that game." She answered as she sat down beside him. "You talk silly! I’ll teach you how to play marbles! It’s easy!" Fibrizo told her. "But…" she stammered. "Don’t worry! Why? If you play marbles and you’re a girl then you’ll turn into a guy? That’s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard! My sister Xelas played marbles with me when mom tells her to baby-sit me!" Fibrizo told her. "You have a baby-sitter?" she asked. "Uh-uh! And I like playing tricks on her! You see, she likes to keep herself pretty busy the whole day by drinking or smoking, even though mom tells her to quit. She also likes to keep herself beautiful and pretty all day! She hates it when there is something dirty in her clothes…that’s why I like to scatter mud in her place!" he told her.
Kira giggled. "You are such a naughty boy! Don’t you get punished?" she asked. Fibrizo smiled. "Sometimes…if I get caught or if they tell on mom, I get punished." He answered. Kira smiled. "Where do you live?" she asked. "In the…I mean…I stay with relatives in Saillune…" he lied. "What about you?" he asked. "Me? Down that hill is my late grandpa’s cottage. I used to live there and do my job in curing diseases caused by spells or anything magical. But now, I live with my aunt in the city in a big house filled with cute and nice decorations." She explained happily. "That’s good!" he said.
Then, Kira’s eyes looked down and began to look sad. "What is wrong, Kira?" Fibrizo asked. "It’s just that, my aunt just died yesterday…some mazoku attacked the city and killed my aunt…now I’m all alone again…" she answered. Fibrizo looked down, feeling sympathy…though he knows that he shouldn’t feel any. "Mazoku…" he said. "That’s why I despise them." she continued. "Don’t despise them…" he told her. "And why?" she asked. "Oh nothing…plus, they can’t harm you when they lose their powers…" Fibrizo said, referring to himself secretly. Kira smiled.
Fibrizo looked at her. "Plus, I promise you that they won’t harm you anymore…or any of your family!" he told her. Kira blinked. "Really? But how?" she asked. "Simple! I tell them!" he answered. Kira smiled. "Don’t make me laugh. How can a kid like you make some mazoku listen!?" she asked. "I…" Fibrizo stopped talking, and remembered that she doesn’t know who he really is. He decided not to tell her about himself further because he didn’t want to lose this new friend of his. Kira picked some flowers and began to weave them into necklaces, while Fibrizo began to play with his marbles. "Kira," he began shyly. Kira didn’t look up from her current work. "Yeah?" he asked. "…nothing…" he answered, suddenly thinking. "Nah…if I tell her, she might get afraid of me and I don’t want her to be ‘fraid of me…" he said to himself with a disappointed look on his face. Then, he was surprised when Kira moved closer to him and placed the flower necklace around his neck. The nice floral scent filled his nose and he loved it. Kira sat down again. "Do you like it?" she asked. Fibrizo scanned the flowers around himself and held them, feeling them and smelling them. "They are beautiful…it is beautiful!" he answered shyly, blushing a bit. She smiled and blushed a little. "Thank you…I’m glad you liked it!" she answered. "Thanks a lot, Kira!" he answered with a smile.
He smiled and stood up. He reached out his hand to her and helped her up when she took her hand. "Thank you, Fibrizo," she said sweetly. "With pleasure, miss!" he said, as if playing pretend. She smiled. "I also have something to give to you, Kira," he said, taking off one of his bangles and taking her right hand and putting it in her wrist. "I hope you like it. It’s one of my favorite things." He told her. "Hey, you didn’t have to give this cute thing to me if you like it very much!" she answered. "It’s okay, Kira. I have sev’ral of those back home so I don’t care if I lose some…or I lose them, I hope that an important person in my life could find it or own it instead." He told her. Kira smiled sweetly and blushed. "Thank you…I really appreciate it…" she said. "And I will wear this forever!" she continued. Then, the big clock from the city hall down the hill began to chime. Kira knew it was time to go home for the sun was already setting. "I gotta go home, Fibrizo." She told him. "When can we play again?" she asked excitedly. Fibrizo was frozen. He looked down. "I’m sure they won’t allow me to come back…" he said to himself. Then he looked at her with a smile. "I don’t know…but wait for me, Kira…I’m coming back sometime to tell you when to play…" he told her. Kira smiled and leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Fibrizo turned beet red. Kira giggled and turned away, then she ran off. "Goodbye, Fibrizo! I’ll be waiting for you!" she said.
Fibrizo smiled and waved. "Bye, Kira!" he yelled as he watched her disappear down the hill. Then, he put down his hand and felt like he wanted to cry. "Goodbye, Kira…" he whispered. Then, he turned away and teleported. He knew he would always remember her.

Fibrizo entered his bedroom and sat down on his bed. He looked so sad. Then, Xelas Metallium appeared. "Hey, bro!" she greeted. "Hi, sis…" he answered. Xelas scanned him. "Are you okay?…hey, what happened to your knee?" she asked, seeing the handkerchief. Fibrizo remembered his wound. "Oh this? Nothing…I just tripped while running." He explained. Xelas approached him and sat down beside him. She took off the handkerchief and began to heal his wound. "By the way, you hated brining hankies with you, where did you get this?" she asked. Fibrizo blushed and remembered Kira. "From…from a new friend of mine…" he answered. "I’m sure it’s a girl…this hanky has laces and embroidery!" she teased. "Yeah…sure!" he answered, grabbing the hanky as soon as Xelas had finished. Xelas turned to him and she smiled. "Where did those flowers come from?" she asked. "From my friend. She is really a good girl…" he said with a happy smile. Then, he remembered something. "By the way… whose minions attacked a certain city yesterday?" he asked. "Graushaila’s minions, why?" she asked. Fibrizo frowned. "Tell him not to do that again. I will give orders not to touch that city again or I will smash your marbles." He warned. Xelas shrugged. "Sure, Fibrizo." She answered.

Kira was already asleep in her warm and cozy bed, dreaming about her new friend, Fibrizo. Hoping that they could see each other again and play again. She smiled in her sleep. "I’ll be waiting forever, Fibrizo…" she whispered…
