I began to recall the time when I first met him. He thought I was a "damsel in distress" around a group of bandits called The Dragon Fang…something like that… or maybe it was Dragon horn? NAh! I have such poor memory when it comes to things like that…anyway, he even thought I was a princess.

I never thought that I would feel this way for him…making me wanna go swoon over him…. After all the times when he called me "flat-chested" and "small"… I should feel so pissed till now, but with his smile, everything’s okay!

How could I possibly fall for him if I refer to him as "Jellyfish brains" or "zombie" or whatever negative adjective there is to describe him!? This is crazy…yet it feels alright…

Maybe it’s time I say to him exactly the way I feel…or maybe not…

And then I heard a knock upon my door, I jumped in surprise and said, "DAMN YOU!" and covered my mouth, thinking that I should be more careful with my reflexes. Then I smiled and tried to look calm, hoping it’s Amelia or anyone except Gourry…Gourry…Gourry…arrrh! Stupid name!…can’t get it out of my system! "Come in!" I told the person.

Then it was Gourry…I almost melted when I saw him…melting like icecream…hmmm…icecream…I’ll eat some after this…

He said hello and I told him that I was expecting Amelia or Zel to be the one knocking. "But Lina, we just parted with them 5 days ago." He told me. I was dumbfounded. You mean I’m left with him here?

"Um…maybe you’re thinking of going home too, Gourry?…" I asked.

"No, I’d rather stay here with you…besides, I swore to be your protector, ne?" he answered with his killer smile.

Okay, so I learned that he was the one who taught me how to fall in-love. I felt so happy whenever he’s around me…or maybe even just thinking of him. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!!!??? I feel confused but somehow, I am fine…

Then he looked down. "You…told me to come here, what was it you want to tell me?" he told me.

"I told you to…" I suddenly remembered. "Oh! Okay! I remember now!" I told him.

He looked at me, concerned. "Hey, are you okay? You don’t look so happy. I know…you are still sad because of Amelia leaving and Zel leaving too?" he asked. I wasn’t able to answer, I just looked down and bit my lip. "Gourry, I…" I began. He came closer and put his hands on my shoulders. "Don’t worry, I won’t leave you… I will stay with you… forever…" he told me gently.

What did he mean by forever? I asked myself as panic rushed into my veins up my brain.

Then, I was not able to control myself, I leaned my head forward on his chest and embraced him, smiling, feeling happy that I have him to stay with me… "Thank you, Gourry…and…" I struggled to say those 3 words but I got tongue-tied.

To my surprise, Gourry wrapped his arms around me and crushed my into him. "I love you, Lina…I mean it…" he told me, almost a whisper.

I almost fainted, hearing him say it. But it gave me courage to say it too. "I love you too, Gourry…" I told him in a trembling voice, tightening my hold on him, as if I didn’t wanna let go of him!

And so I guess my dreams came true at last…who said that a sorceress like me couldn’t always get what I wanted or dreamed of? I didn’t use any magic this time…it was already inside him all the way…and I am so happy to have him…tonight…

And I’ll stay with him forever….
