I quietly watched the night take over the day and it made me feel lonely again. When I looked behind me, Jiras and Gurabos were already asleep. Perhaps they’ve waited son long for me here. The whole afternoon, I just sat down here by the seashore, enjoying the sunset. Even though I’ve got my own cruel concerns, I still adore its beauty.

They just stayed there to wait for me to finish. But they waited so long… that they fell asleep.

Then I decided to leave them there and go on my way. I teleported myself going to the present place where Lina Inverse and her company had stopped for the night: a small hotel. I appeared by one of the rooms, outside the window. When I looked in, a young girl about the age of 18 was seated by the dressing table and combing her long, fine beautiful, shiny blonde hair. She was humming a song… a song I also liked… a love song.

I listened carefully, watched her from the shadows; determined not to let her know that I was there.

But I remembered… she’s a Gold Dragon. Shall I go in and kill her?

I decided not to. After all, she is innocent… and beautiful… and graceful… and she’s and angel…

…And I love her…

So I just smiled as I listened to her and watched her. I touched the glass by her hair and imagined how it would feel if I touched her and embrace and hold her tight as much as I pleased?

Oh if only…

The wind blew and it hit my blue-green hair and my hair blocked my view. When I shoved my hair away, she wasn’t there anymore, but she was standing by the closet, ready to take her clothes off. But before she could do it, I was thankful that the door burst open and there was the flame-haired sorceress, one of my enemies. I stared at her.

"Hey, Filia! It’s time to eat! Let’s go!" I heard her say, coz her voice was loud enough for anyone to hear outside even if the window was closed.

Filia said other things but I didn’t hear it clearly. But I know that one thing’s for sure that her voice was gentle and soothing.

Then she went with Lina, leaving me there, alone.

I decided to stay there for awhile; so I sat down by the tree branch and fell asleep.

Then, I was awoken by the sound of the City Hall clock which indicated that it’s already 12 midnight.

I got up and went to see Filia, but the lights were already out. But since I am an Ancient Dragon, I was able to see her, sleeping.

She has such a beautiful, angelic face and even though she’s asleep, her beauty is still present. I found myself mesmerized by her beauty. I smiled at the sight of her face, so angelic and sweet.

I carefully opened the window, thankful that she doesn’t have a roommate.

I stepped in and slowly approached her bed. I gently knelt down by her bed and adored her pretty face. Then, I turned my eyes to her lips… her beautiful lips…

I bent down, my emotions making me brave to face the truth that I’ve fallen for her; and my lips met hers. Her lips were as warm as sunshine and they were soft and sweet.

I felt at ease and relished the moment of me getting the chance of kissing this girl of my dreams, making me forget that I ever had a grudge with her race.

She wasn’t waking up so I carefully slipped my arms around her, embracing her gently and holding her in my arms.

When I heard her moan and felt some movement, I knew at that instant that she’s going to awaken. But, I didn’t make a move to stop, let go and disappear. Instead, I just continued on with my job.

She opened her eyes and tried to push me away. I stopped kissing her and faced her.

She was speechless, staring at me but I know that she couldn’t see me clearly because it was too dark.

"Who are you?" she managed to say.

I climbed on top of her bed, kissed her again, hoping that she would know how I feel for her. Then, she gave in. she returned my kisses and embraced me tight, making a move to remove my cape and my vest.

Then, something made me stop… I don’t know why…

It’s so early to do this… and I want her to know who I am first before anything else. So I stopped, so did she. Then I told her gently, "I love you"

She touched my face, trying to feel it to make her know who I am. Then her hands traveled to my hair, then going up, she touched my bandanna, my bangs, the horn and my hair on top of my head (the spiky one)

Her hands were soft and gentle when they touched me but they were trembling a bit when she held me.

I saw her eyes and they were curious and wide. "Who… who are you?" she asked me again.

I sat up, letting go of her and getting out of her bed. I wore my vest and my cape again and faced her again as she sat down on the bed. I knelt down beside her bed and reached for her face, leaned forward and kissed her again. The kissed me too.

When we stopped, I let go of her.

"Who are you?" she asked again.

I stood up and walked slowly to the window, and before teleporting, I told her solemnly,

"Valgarv"

Her eyes grew wider when she heard my name.

When I teleported, I appeared again outside, but above the hotel. The roof.

I just can’t leave yet… Then, I heard footsteps approaching the window. It was Filia running. Then she stopped and looked out, tears were clouding her beautiful blue eyes.

"V…Valgarv…" she whispered my name, then letting her tears fall down.

I listened to her taking deep breaths then releasing them afterwards.

Then, I heard her say in almost a squeak, "I love you too…"

And I knew at that instant that I don’t want to hurt her and I cannot kill her even though she belongs to the race which destroyed mine. With that , I teleported and returned to my base. I gazed at the whole lonely area and closed my eyes, praying to my other dead fellow Ancient Dragons. "Please forgive me if I will not be able to avenge our race…forgive me too if I let myself fall in-love with the enemy…" and I opened my eyes again and waited for morning to come…
