Part Eighteen

"What the-" Orin helped Caela up. "What was that? Do you guys get that often?" Caela was very confused, too shocked for words at the minute. Her lack of speech wasn't taken unkindly since Angel interrupted the two.

"Buffy?" He shifted to where his unconsciencious lover's head could rest on his lap. She didn't respond in the least. "Get Giles and call 911, tell them she just collapsed." Angel instructed to Orin and Caela.

They nodded and both ran off to the house in persuit of getting

After five minutes of waiting in the darkness of the graveyard with the injured Buffy, Giles and the rest of the group had arrived, panting from the run over. Seconds later the ambulance pulled up twenty-five feet down the road from them. Gathering information of the incident the paramedics moved on to taking care of the hurt girl.

Taking her pulse, calling her name a few times, patting on her shoulder and collarbone. She still didn't respond, they decided to go ahead and load her up on a gurney and take her to the hospital.

The third asked what to report in notice to the emergency room; vitals, situation and her age.

The woman of the trio did a secondary scan over Buffy's body. Before she was finished Angel announced, "She's bleeding!" The two men, who appeared to be in their twenties, gave him a bewildered look.

"He's right! She's hemorrhaging." She looked up from checking Buffy's lower body. "She must have ruptured something." Angel was lost and even more worried.

"What? Whats going on?" He stammered.

No one took the time to explain what was happening to his girlfriend. Instead the three roughly and quickly picked her up and strapped her to the gurney and hurried to load her up in the ambulance.

Angel and the gang were following them to the doors of the back of the vehicle and waited for them to secure their friend and lover in the vehicle. Angel started to climb in the back after his beloved, shaking all the way. The youngest, it seemed, held him back by putting a firm hand on his chest. "Sorry, Sir. Family only." He tried to close one of the doors, hoping Angel would give in and give up.

The boy obviously didn't know Angel, which wasn't new unless you worked with the supernatural. Angel glared at him with daggers in his eyes. "She has no family present." Angel tried a step further in. The boy didn't budge. Although Angel had self control when it came to mortals, or humans now, he was coming on his last nerve of patience with this one to hold back a snapping of his neck.

"Move out of my way before I break your arm." He hissed. Everyone heard. The only people that seemed opposed to his threat were the paramedics. The boy complied and stepped deeper into the truck to allow Angel room to sit down.

'We'll meet you at the hospital." Giles turned with the others, back to the house to get their cars.

They sat there, in the waiting room, for twenty minutes before hearing anything. Angel walked back from the rooms with fear clearly written all over her features. He ran a hand through his hair and then brought it to his lips, pressing his fingertips to them as the whole group rushed up to meet him.

"Angel! is she okay? Is she awake?" Xander put in, being in the front.

"Do they know what's wrong with her?" Willow stood with Caela and Orin, tears stinging her eyes.

Angel pursed his lips and shook his head. "Nothing. They don't know yet. That's all they'll tell me. She's in surgery right now." He moved pass the crowd and sat down, his elbows on his thighs as he leaned forward.

"Surgery?" Xander stood in front of him. "For what?"

"They wont say." Angel took a shaky, deep breath just as Willow sat down in the seat next to him. She took his hand in both of hers, staring directly at him when he looked at her.

"She'll be okay, Angel." He gave a forced smile and looked down again, holding in his tears. He squeezed her hand in search of reassurance, of which she gladly obliged.
