OF NAMES AND EPITHETS
We Pinoys are fun of naming our things inanimate or not, of course it is not limited to our sons and daughters to the extent of naming anybody from our Barangays and the Nation. The Pinoys are really called the great imitators as a start of this epithet calling. So lets hit the road peeps.
The Baguio Folks is not excempted to that. I never thought it will happen to my kids hehehe, they have American names too. Orson, Allison and Adison.
Our family dog was named Bantay, she gave birth to my cute pet which I named URSUS. A very active but bobed tailed canine.
My neighbor's kids in Baguio were named after the presidents of the United States, they are Washington, Lincoln and Roosevelt.
Their Dad is sporting a thick mustache and has an epithet of SADAM.
A recent marijuana plantation bust in the mountain province was a fruitful one, they uprooted and burned the canabis. The drug interdiction team of the province caught two people whose names are of course American presidents one of them a recent president you know who.
Overseas Filipino workers in the middle east, that are bald headed are called ARABUHOK and those that still have their hair at the sides but bald on top are called SHAGGY or SHAGILID ANG BUHOK. The military people call them TOP GUNS for top gone.
Some call the President of the Philippines Iron lady how about you? I know they call me Lakay.
