In Coral Springs Florida, there is a really nice dog park sponsored by Dr. Paul's Pet Care Center that is open to the public. It is one of the only places that you can take your dogs and not worry about them running around without a leash. It has to be Bailey's favorite place in the entire world. He gets to run around and play with other dogs in a big field, jump through an obstacle course and play in the kiddie pools that are there. This is a picture of Bailey defending his pool from an interested passer-by.

This is Bailey just hangin' out around the house with us. He will follow us from room to room just so that he can be close to us.

He loves to be outside. On nice days, we open the sliding glass door to the balcony and he will just lay out there and relax for as long as we let him. He has always seemed happier when he is outside. He has a spring in his trot and he holds his head high as if he is smelling the air.

Ok, so maybe he isn't always on his best behavior. His weaknesses are paper towels, socks and underwear. If any of these are left unattended, you can be sure that they will end up in Bailey's possession before long.

How can anyone say no to a face like this? Is it any wonder that he gets anything that he wants--from socks to wood chips.

OK, this is by far my favorite picture of him. I finally got around to taking it out of the frame to scan it. If you look closely, you can see a little pink spot on his nose. It was not a scratch, but instead a little bit of dog food that he was trying to lick off.
