out with the old
in with the new: Alpine CDE-9841
polk db 6.5" components in Q-forms custom kick pannels!
i put dynamat on all the interior surfaces of the kick pannels
and on any sheet metal behind them that i could get to.
The computer had to be relocated to under the heater ducting
and the db grills had to be shaved down extensively so that they would fit.
here's a before and after on the rear speaker "pods".
these ported enclosures were modified to accomidate 5 1/4" Sony xplod speakers.
I have installed Pioneer tweeters in the rear roof to replace the generic tweeters.
here is my new sub box with my 10" JBL GT sub loaded in it.
fits behind the rear seat very well. sounds very good and takes up relatively little space.
New amp set up
amps installed, i still need to clean up the wiring, but it is functional (and loud)
MTX Thunder 421D Mono-Block sub amp drives the 10" JBL very well.
MTX Thunder 282 amp drives the polk audio db components in front.
aluminum diamond plate for a little flair...
the distribution block mounted to a piece of aluminum diamond plate bolted to a seat belt bolt in the floor.
i put carpet on the other side of the amp rack, all bolted in to the bed/shelf.
Infinity 6"x9" speakers have been removed.
