Specs- 2000 chevy truck 5.3L stock shortblock comp cams 224/224 .580/.580 112 cam. Heads are 6.0L truck heads ported and polished by me, Combustion chambers polished, REV dual springs, Final compression ratio comes out to 8.6:1 Intake Is Edlbrock Victor Jr with a custom made elbow by me. Fuel injectors are 60# Mototrons. Turbo is a GT-45 with Tial 44mm wastegate, Tial 50mm Blow off valve, header primarys are 1 7/8 to 2 1/2 collectors merged to a single 3" into the turbo. Down pipe is 3 1/2". Wire harness is a stock 99 Z28 harness and using a 99 pcm with a 2 bar upgraded operating system from HP Tuners. All tuned by myself with an Inovative wideband. Engine is mated to a TH-350 full manual valve body with a TCI super streetfighter nitrous converter. rear is 3.50 gear ratio. All ignition and electronics are supported by the factory F-body PCM.

Future plans- this engine is just a test/concept engine to build the turbo around. Once together and everything worked out I will rebuild the same 5.3L with all forged internals. Cam selection will be a changed to an actual turbo grind cam.

Update Dec.24 2005 - Engine is in car and everything is pretty much ready except the harness and some small stuff. No new pics as of yet. But car will be going to a friends and I'll finish it there. My garage just has too much stuff in it to work in right now. Theres a couple pics of the wastegate piping in the link below.

Update Nov. 18 2006 - Car is done and running insane. 15psi of boost and is uncontrollable in 2nd gear on the street. Here is a video of some 3rd gear passes. One with the shaky camera is in 2nd gear letting off it a bunch of times cause of wheel spin. And more pics at the cardomain page.
