Screen for racial attitudes

Catherine Corela, The StarPhoenix

In light of the Neil Stonechild case, I propose a simple solution that would significantly improve the quality of future police force recruits. When candidates are being selected and screened, they are now required to pass a lie detector test to ensure that no pedophiles, drug dealers, and physically violent individuals etc., join the force. Why not include two additional questions in the lie detector test that will determine an automatic pass or fail, based on racism. The first question should be whether the individual is racist toward aboriginal people. The second should be whether they are racist against visible minorities.
