The DOC has secured very favorable rates for condominiums at Cascade Village for the 1999 Durango Rocky Mountain Rendezvous. Cascade Village is 25 miles north of Durango, Colorado on highway 550. It is strategically located half way between Durango to the south, and Silverton to the north (Silverton is where all of the off-roading begins). Perhaps appropriately, its just north of Purgatory, Colorado. Cascade Village has an indoor swimming pool, indoor jacuzzi, several outdoor hot tubs, saunas, exercise room, tennis courts, volleyball courts, video arcade room, trout pond with fishing gear for kids, childrens playground, an on-site restaurant and bar, general store and more. Each unit include a kitchen and all cooking items, cable TV, stereo, fireplace, balcony and underground parking. Several DOC members stayed there during the Memorial Recon Trip and loved it. |
