Vail Colorado
We went to Vail,
Colorado last ski season thanks to a lot of help from my family (tickets
from my brother Mike and free room and board from my sister Mary and her
husband Mark) and thanks to Dixie my boss for the time off from work and
encouragement to have fun while we can.
The trip was great, snow conditions
were good and the weather was good too. Ratih enjoyed sore muscles
from skiing every day for six days. She learned allot, but still
had a hard time trusting (listening) to me.

At night we visited many nice restaurants
and shops. The streets of Vail
are like a fairy tale, with plenty of holiday spirit in the air.
There were plenty of candy and cookie shops too, which cost me a small
fortune.

It wasn't sunny the whole trip and
that was just fine with us, because with the clouds came fresh snow to
play in. Ratih enjoyed a little snow to cushion her landing and I
was happy to venture into the trees. I think Jack and Matt enjoyed
playing in the snow, even though it was to fluffy for making a snowman.

After all the hard skiing and snowboarding,
it sure felt good to sit in the hot tub at the lodge. This is the
only way the weekend warriors could sustain six days straight.

What a great time for Matt and Jack!
What great memories Mom and Dad are creating for them. I hope to
share the slopes with my children to as my father before me. We are
very lucky to enjoy such a luxury in life.
