In September 97 The Nimbus-Doctor went to Canada to heal a Nimbus with a smashed-up motor. | A new crank (brought from Denmark) was put in, top was milled down, valves were repaired and anchor in dynamo was repaired. To be honest, it started at first kick, after been standing still for more than 8 years. From Canada to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, where another Nimbus was taken completely apart, and in 16 days it was sandblasted, repainted (In beautyful original tealblue Nimbus color). New parts from Denmark were mounted, I agreed with the owner, Chris Stagnaro, when he said, that the Nimbus looked better than new. The Nimbus people had their Nimbus repaired, probably in a better and maybe cheaper way, than if a local would have done it for them. They helped me pay the plane ticket, gave me a place to crash and some food. I don't require much. | |
The Nimbus-Doctor is 48 years old. Since 1969 he has owned a countless number of different Nimbus-
motorcycles. Most of his sparetime, he has been repairing Motors for himself and friends, or collecting
spare parts, sidecars and a whole lot of different Nimbus items. He knows all the right people in the danish Nimbus world, and he knows where to get the best and cheapest parts.
