The hill wasn't very steep but the ruts were already too deep.
A short part was nearly vertical and even speed couldn't get them up.
"Long John Silver?". The wheel base was too long -- he had no chance. He was just digging some more holes.
Then he tried another line. Some people had to move small trees out
of the way to get him through without damage.
OME in action. No problems here with the short wheel base and good articulation.
Some hill climbing tests and a small mud bath.
A small break to wash off the mud and to top off the drivers' fluid levels.
Stuck time. The hill was very steep and had deep holes in the track. Nobody made it on the first try.
The tracks in the wood were still muddy and deep.
The Land Cruiser and Patrol were too long and not high enough and got stuck here. The Patrol looked like a lowrider van next to the Jeeps. Amazing that this Patrol got through everything with AT tires and no visible lift.
A hidden piece of metal slashed a tire and on this day he had no spare.
A lot of Jeeps with large tires but the wrong rims. :-)
He had to borrow a stock, nearly flat tire from the other Patrol driver.
It was an interesting trip home on the highway. Good that no police noticed that.
Accident on the street. First we had to wait some time for the police to leave.
It was an private, abandoned area, so we had to be careful.
