My name's Adam Bacchus, currently 20 years old (subject to change in early September '05), and go to school at the University of Minnesota (majoring in computer science). I live around the twin cities (have been for my whole life), but hope to move to California as soon as possible (which will probably be after completing my undergrad studies at the U).
So... hobbies n' junk. Well, I'd say music is definitely the one thing I'm more into than anything else. Once I can afford it, I plan to have a recording studio in my basement =). I play drums, bass, and acoustic guitar (sometimes in that order), but I've dabbled in a lot of other random junk too... I've been playing hand drums for a long time, I do that at Renaissance Festival well enough to get paid for it (bwahaha). Other than that, I play: all the random percussive stuff from "traditional" band (xylophone, chimes, snare, timpani, etc.), bodhran (traditional Irish drum), recorder, bowed psaltery (string instrument), a bit of piano, all that stuff I haven't touched in years... but I enjoy learning new instruments whenever time permits =).
Like I said before, I work @ the MN renaissance festival playing hand drums... I also give free lessons when I'm not drumming, so swing by, make fun of my silly clothes, buy me some food or something, whatever. Chances are you'll find me (working) at the Crystal Stix tent most of the time. Crystal Stix are juggling sticks, similar to Devil Sticks. I've got a pair of "Hot Stix", crystal stix where you can light the ends on fire... I do it while skateboarding (during the 1.5 out of 12 months where there isn't snow).
Other random stuff I like includes: snowboarding, philosophy, bumming around coffee shops, skating (or trying to at least), improv acting (out at renfest), playing music in the streets (in California), digital art/photography, drawing, anime, gyros (oooh how I love gyros), sleeping, psychology (to an extent), the flavor mint, hanging out with friends, all that good stuff.
