He studied it, and
when he wasn't sure of something, or how things
worked on it,
he would come over to my house and ask questions
until he got it right. Armed with his new detector, a
Tesoro Bandido, and the knowledge on how to properly
use it, he set out to see what he could find. In 1997
he found 3329 coins and 13 rings,
just one of the rings alone was worth more than
enough to pay for his detector. In 1998 he found 1998
coins and 21 rings. Not only is he having fun doing
this, but he says its good excercise.
in for Morgan Silver dollars, which he says he now
has quite a collection of. He has found a lot of
unusual items, an old antique nut cracker that
someone offered him $50.00 on the spot for it, but he
turned the guy down because he likes to collect old
antiques himself. He also found an old Sherrifs
badge. The only time he is not out metal detecting is
when he is either at work or asleep. He owns a Tesoro
Lobo and once took the housing of it and mounted it
to an inner tube so that he could take the coil along
with the long cord and check out an old swiming hole,
where he found a lot of great finds.
