The JWA Scouting Report will on a semi-weekly basis take a look at a few individual wrestlers of the JWA. Keep in mind just because your wrestler is not reviewed this week…there’s always next week.
The contents within the JWA Scouting Report are my views alone, and not the views of the JWA President Paul Chadman or any other JWA employees.
In this weeks report three-JWA wrestlers will go under review: Flyin’ Bryan Mercy, Kieth Wildwing, and The Dystopian Gangrene.
I’ll have to admit Bryan Mercy is one of the most witty and talented wrestlers around today. Where as most people make the sport of wrestling look like work he shows up everyday just to have "fun". He has a quality about him that grabs a fans attention and doesn’t let it go.
Very little has changed about Bryan Mercy since last I was able to view his progress. Perhaps a bit wiser when in the ring, but he still holds that same arrogant charm that has made him one of my favorites. Not to say that he isn’t without faults. Many times Bryan Mercy’s constant show boating, flamboyance, and gloating have made him enemy after enemy. Which tends to make his life even harder then it should be. You have to admit he would be 30-times more effective if he didn’t have to watch his back all the time, and he’d hit the elbow instead of the pose.
Still Bryan Mercy is a performer through and through like so many great ones of the past. He brings to mind Greg Eskridge, Chris Sherrill, and even a hint of Shawn Twilight. I’m not telling or even asking Bryan Mercy to change…because well then he wouldn’t be the all-star he is today.
I’m not here to make predictions on how well a wrestler will fair in this or that event, but I will say this about the young brash Bryan Mercy…he has the skill and talent to go the distance in this sport, and become one of it’s greets.
A new breed of hero for a new community. Gone are the days of the baby faces and the boy scouts to be replaced by a hero that will go to any lengths to uphold what he believes to be right. The first time I saw Kieth Wildwing in action was as Devasator in Big East Wrestling.
I’ll have to admit at the time I wasn’t overly impressed by the young wrestler. He seemed more or less more involved with himself then he was with what was going on around him. But that all changed when he decided to make it his personal mission to destroy the M.o.A. His leadership abilities suddenly arose as he gathered together a stable of men, named them the Revolution, and went on the offensive against the M.o.A. He truly began to shine at this point even achieving a BEW World Heavyweight Championship.
Kieth Wildwing, offers us a hero who isn’t afraid to place himself in a hardcore match, or even to walk down to ringside by himself when he knows he has a stable against him. Kieth Wildwing, has indeed taken his game to the next step. He reminds me many times of a young Kevin Merrix and Minister of Violence. Two men who continuously took their game to new highest.
A talented individual who I’m looking at to make waves.
I know very little about this individual to tell you the truth. The first time I’ve laid my eyes on him is here within the Justice Wrestling Association. Nevertheless, in just this microscopic amount of time he’s managed to impress me. Combining both an impressive vocabulary with a quick wit he takes the simplest terms and turns them into verbal weapons.
However, having never seen him in a match thus far I can’t make a judgment on just how far I think this individual with a haunting look can take it. All of the chemistry seems in place to take him to heights un-reached, but time will tell us what will become of him.
A villain in the truest sense of the word. A wicked smile, a creepy gaze, and the ever present wicked thoughts. He can be the thorn in the sides of many or maybe even just the bane of one. I’m interested to see how this villains story unfolds.-
And with that we come to an end of this weeks JWA Scouting Report. Nothing Earth shaking…just a few of my views and opinions on the superstars within the JWA. Well then until the next time I get the mental strength to post one of these keep the interview rooms flooded and cards exciting.
