The JWA Scouting Report will on a semi-weekly basis take a look at a few individual wrestlers of the JWA. Keep in mind just because your wrestler is not reviewed this week…there’s always next week.
The contents within the JWA Scouting Report are my views alone, and not the views of the JWA President Paul Chadman or any other JWA employees.
In this weeks report these three-JWA wrestlers will go under review: Faith, Malibu Magee, and Oasis.
A new comer to our little community who has already started to make waves with two powerful stable leaders. Both Mass Carange of the M.o.A, and Keith Wildwing of the Revolution. So far he’s managed to impress me with his straight forward attack of everyone and everyone.
He also seems to be up to date on this communities going on’s…especially with one William Riley (or Faust who knows) in particular. Which has given him a mental edge in my opinion that many new guys don’t take the time to exploit properly.
I can already see him making his rise to super-stardom here in the JWA. Through a feud here and a title there the ever mysterious Faith may become a household name. Still…I’m also here to point out flaws. While it is impressive that Faith is ready to take the bulls by the horns it isn’t all together smart.
The bull in question is the M.o.A. Attacking it’s leader has drawn him a great deal of heat…considering he’s a rookie, however too much too soon could cause his burn out or worse…night after night of beatings. He can only push at Mass Carnage for so long until Carnage snaps back into his face. I should know I’ve seen it happen before, and the truly strong and experienced wrestlers (Shawn Twilight) for example work right through it…while others just kinda fade away.
I’m waiting to see exactly how this new comer will shape up.
Well…his brother obviously had the brains.
David Magee, a man more concerned with his looks and image then he is about his career. Did a little check up on Malibu and didn’t like what I found. He joined the sport of wrestling just to, well, get noticed. He’s like a child screaming in the corner so everyone will pay attention to him.
However…Malibu Magee could be a hundred times what he is. If he focused a bit and worried about the basics of wrestling instead of how "cool" he’d look if he did a triple, spinning, nose dive, through a table into a handstand. He’s good I won’t take that away from him. He is liked by many fans…unfortunately he’s not the World Champion that he could have been. He’s at the bottom of the bucket right now, and his brother Ryan Magee is still using that bucket to spit his sunflower seeds into.
Nother thing that quirks me a bit is how similar Shawn Twilight and Malibu Magee are. Now I don’t feel like doing a comparison at this time (maybe a later article), but Malibu has definitely been watching some past Twilight interviews.
Again he’s a great performer, but that’s all he is. Maybe he should take a lesson from one of he’s brothers old friends Blade comes to mind, and learn to become a wrestler.
I like him. I like him a lot. A young wrestler who regardless of who he’s taking on will keep pounding away at you until he finds something to exploit. He doesn’t quit that JWA TV Title proves that…unless they’ve started handing out titles now?
Within a year tops I can see Oasis heading many PPV’s. He’s what I see as the new generation, and yeah I’ve seen a few generations come and go. He in particular has the carving to be the best to take his game to another level and I appreciate that.
Yet, with every praise there is usually a criticism…Oasis…It’s ok to respect the M.o.A, but don’t praise them. The M.o.A at this time has you pegged as a patsy. Someone who has already made the public statements that you would never take them on. You just tore a large chunk of your armor away. Just remember that should you ever confront the M.o.A is a serious feud. Just a thought.-
Alright that be it for this week…now for a few personal views. Two things. I was both shocked and excited…
Mass Carnage versus Faith. A great match with a great lead into it. I had no clue who the victor would be, and I wouldn’t even make a guess on it. In the end I was overly happy with the match itself regardless of the outcome.
Keith Wildwing versus Bryan Mercy…I was a bit shocked, but not because Wildwing is terrible. Oh no…only because Wildwing’s attention seemed to be thrown in a couple of different directions as And Justice For All approached. He was exchanging words with both MC, Faith, and Bryan Mercy…While Mercy on the other hand was focused on that one thing.
In the end it was a great match I was just surprised. Which just goes to show you Mercy showboats too much, and in the tradition of his predecessors Wildwing knows when to focus.
