The JWA Scouting Report will on a semi-weekly basis take a look at a few individual wrestlers of the JWA. Keep in mind just because your wrestler is not reviewed this week…there’s always next week.
The contents within the JWA Scouting Report are my views alone, and not the views of the JWA President Paul Chadman or any other JWA employees.
In this weeks report these three-JWA wrestlers will go under the knife: Johnny Keel, Jon Clark, Extreme Warrior, and Steven Anderson.
You know it’s a real shame when a wrestler from another community shows up and assumes he’s a god send…it’s a real shame.
Alright here’s the bottom line on Keel he’s maybe an icon in his parts. He’s maybe unbeatable in his parts, but here in the "AOWF" community he has to start all over again back at the bottom of the ladder, and well from this journalist stand point it’s a rather large ladder to climb.
One thing I noticed about Keel right from the start is his lack of respect for the current super stars in this community. Yeah sure everyone needs to have a "bad ass" attitude now days, I understand that. But, do you really think for a second your a God send to this federation? Wait let me guess…President Chadman recruited you himself right? Hey look around you everyone was hand picked by Chadman.
Keel, don’t get me wrong. You’re a talented individual. I’m sure the last federation you were a part of you did a whole bunch, but sadly here in the JWA you are now a rookie. You have to start back all over again from square one just like back in the days. So here’s a clue. Next time you challenge someone…make sure you challenge the right person. It just makes you look bad.
Although, everyone has sit backs like these, and I can see you going far in the future. Very far maybe even world title far. All I’m saying is that I’m a traditionalist, and I believe in a certain level of respect. I respect you to a level. I respect your ring abilities, but I won’t necessarily respect you as a wrestler until you’ve re-paid your dues in full.
Ah, Mr. Clark…a rejuvenating breath of hot air. So Tyrant…I mean um Jon Clark has returned to the realms of the "AOWF" community, and all I can seem to think is "Geez, I hope he’s more productive this go around."
True, true,…Mr. Clark has a lead a stable or two…has even held an "AOWF" community World Title…although handed to him, but nevertheless he has paid his dues to a certain respect, but that doesn’t all together mean he’s a super star.
Mr. Clark, there are very few in this community that can leave the world of wrestling for any period of time, and upon their return still amount to anything. You are not one of them. You haven’t shown dedication towards anything in awhile now. As a matter of fact you even have problems closing deals up on your side.
And it baffles me that you are still so low on the pecking order, and yeah I know the pecking order. Mr. Clark, you’re about a fraction of an inch away from that next step, but you insist on hyping yourself too much. There is a difference between knowing your good and flaunting it, and pretending your good and trying to get others to fall for it. I suggest you worry about proving how good you are i.e. a belt, a win streak, respect from others…
You know I like him…I like him because he has heart. And, he’s had heart even during his tenure with the M.o.A. It was always hard to classify him as bad guy because well dammit he respected just about everyone…kinda like Ice Part-One.
Still he has his downfalls as do all wrestlers. He tends to vanish too much and too often. And while that is understandable for someone that wrestles in the genre he wrestles it’s also no good. The lack of time in front of the camera and in the ring will constantly keep him out of the spotlight, but he’s good.
With the same will to fight as many of the hardcore greats of the past to include: Prophet, Flesh, and MoV. I believe he could put his name alongside theirs if he focused more on his genre. Forget about the TV titles, and focus on the Hardcore titles. Take on anyone, in any game, at any time.
And he has shown, occasionally, a flash of what he’s capable of. Last March 20th, comes to mind as he beat the now retired Jon Prophet at one of his own games. And while Jon Prophet wasn’t overly active within the wrestling world himself…there weren’t to many matches of his design that he ever lost. That was after all why he sometimes was referred to as the King of the Gimmicks…
Getting back on the subject at hand. I can see Extreme Warrior in a few months time or so, depending on how serious he becomes about his game, becoming a potential threat upon the hardcore division wherever he should roam.
Well, I have thus far to hold back my opinion…I’m not overly impressed with Steven Anderson. At least not as a wrestler. Maybe he’ll make a movie I’ll watch one day and I’ll like it. Or maybe he’ll do an infommercial for 5-Zillion ab’s or something, and maybe I’ll buy the product, but I do not buy him as a wrestler.
Sorry I just don’t. He seems sometimes oblivious as to what’s going on in the wrestling world and more interested in what’s going on in Hollywood. Which you know is fine…if he were just an actor. But, Mr. Anderson you’re a wrestler. And that’s were your focus should be. It should be on your opponent…especially when you have a match coming up against that person.
So head my words…in the future don’t worry about how stylish you are, or how many man servants you have, and instead worry more about how to get that all important W as you crawl your way up that ladder. -
And thus concludes another issue of the JWA Scouting Report. Now I noticed in this issue as probably with all the issues before it I brought up some names that many of the newer wrestlers to this community won’t know or for that matter ever meet…I say take that as a challenge to find out more about your community, and I guarantee you will prosper from it.
Or not and walk around clue less for a few more months until you finally catch up naturally with everything that’s going on…
With all that said I believe I’ll sign off now with this…It is decisively much more easier to write a column for a fed then to be a Vice President for a fed. Personal note really.
