What to do with the homeless, (part one) ended with the idea...
Provide a delux shed in an Estate of Ted's Sheds
Deja fait, someone already made a housing unit nearly identical to a delux Ted's Shed.
Several of these units were used as overnight rental units in a mobil home park in Fort Lauderdale. Inside, there was a double bed to the right of the door, a chair by the bed, a tv on the wall over the bed. At the foot of the bed a walled off toilet, then a tiny kitchen. The underneath of the structure was two large iron members. There were no wheels.
The land was recently sold for redevelopment. The mobil homes in the park were offered for sale. When the photo was taken, all of the other units of this type had been removed. The mobil homes in the park nearly all remained.
Mobil home parks in far South Florida are disappearing, either condemned by housing inspectors, or through land being sold for redevelopment.
