Here we are getting ready to ride to Sacramento.

We have arrived at one of the Yamaha dealers in Sacramento.. I got to looking at the Blue R-6 behind the VMAX and then I saw it.. instantly my heart started thumping.. I've been looking for one of these for about the last year. The first VMAX I ever saw was back in December of '84 in Los Angeles at a bike show. PeeWee (professional rider) Gleason did a big smokey burnout on one. (This is when they first came to the USA. Dec.'84) I really didn't want a new one but I figure I'd get a full factory warranty and being a major purchase.. I thought (with the help of my friend Joe- AKA-
Mrmilk ) I Gotta get it..! So I said YES to the sales guy. So I'm now a little in debt, but I'm really styling now..
Just 30 miles on this baby.
What's that..? you still don't believe it's mine..
The Yamaha Dealer is Capitol Yamaha, they're on Auburn blvd. in Sacramento. Some people think I get to crazy with my camera, but I do it because.. I CAN..! You would too if you had a digital camera like this. I love it too.. A 3 1/2" floppy is it's film. Here's a picture of MrMilk sitting patiently..
and here is another pair of bike shoppers.. I Emailed them this picture.
Awesome ride too huh..? Happy trails to all you bikers out there.. Be safe and keep the rubber side down.. hehe.. Literally
!
Here are some other great VMAX links..

The V-Max. Think of it as the Arnold Schwarzenegger of power cruisers. A 1200cc, liquid-cooled V-4 stoplight-to-stoplight beast that's won more Best Musclebike awards than it knows what to do with.
The truth of the matter is that, over the years - 15 now, in fact - Mad Max has been wiping the boulevard with pretty much every musclebike-come-lately in terms of pure, unadulterated acceleration. But then, what else would you expect from a machine with hotted-up, high-lift cams and a quartet of massive downdraft carbs stoking its ravenous V-4 powerplant. And that's just for starters - things really get fun once the tachometer sweeps past 6000 rpm and a little thing called V-Boost induction kicks in, force-feeding the engine, via a servo-controlled butterfly valve, huge mouthfuls of unleaded. When V-Max's fat, 6" rear tire hooks up, it's all you can do to say "Brace for light speed, Luke."
There is a civilized side to the brute, however, with its vibration-quelling counterbalancer, smooth, hydraulically activated clutch, adjustable front and rear suspension, triple disc brakes, and new-for-'99 carbon-fiber-look fenders and gas tank cover. But don't let these, um, refinements fool you. V-Max has always been about two things: attitude and acceleration. And, as Motorcyclist magazine so kindly pointed out, "nothing before or since turns straight pavement into a party quite like it."
