My good friend Mertal bought this car for $500.00 to replace the gas guzzling Grand Prix. It was originally silver with red interior, but it is now blue with a white hood, with the fake wood panels painted black. It has a 2.8 v6 with a c-4 automatic tranny, and had only 56,000 original miles on it. The exhaust was so bad that it all fell off, and now has dual flex-o-pipe exhaust with glasspack mufflers. The rear shock was rotted in half, and both were replaced with Monroe Airs hocks, and new lift shackles.

I had the privilege of driving it off the used car lot, since I fronted $20 for the sales tax. It ran somewhat sluggish, and acceleration was pitiful. since then, Bosch Platinums were installed, and it ran as Mertal said "Like a Rocket."
He also replaced the trans filter and fluid, which smelled like melted plastic. Also, installed were a temp gauge and a tachometer. A hole developed in the radiator, but leak stopper took care of that. It occasionally boiled over, because it was topped off with straight water. This car had been to the Wolcottville Sand Pits, and a few Baja trails. The leaf spring clamp on the Driver side broke, causing it to dogtrack. A $1 clamp fixed it, and was able to hold up to Lebanon and back. Later on, he took the leaf spring off, and it was all broken up except for one leaf, the side with the bad shock. The window had Dr. Fix painted on it before He had it. The previous owner must have hauled heavy loads, causing these parts to fail. The car now sits at his house, waiting for new leaf springs.
