In your Face!

I never thought it was a Cadillac

My good friend Mertal bought this car for $1200 to replace his Ford Ranger.
It used to be maroon, unil he hit a deer and we painted it

Not a Monte Carlo

Haul Ass!

let's go for a ride

This car served as or primary vehicle before I got my Grand Am. It made several trips back and forth to Lebanon, IN from Ft Wayne, when I back up north after the Cavalier was towed away. We used it to move into our apartment, and to explore the Urban Baja of Fort Waynes city streets.
This car was in its glory days when we lived in Fort Wayne, IN. We delivered newspapers in this car until I got my Grand Am. We were both proud Pontiac owners, and we were always trying to out do eachother when it came to our cars.
Mertal installed a tachometer, and a Grant steering wheel. He also installed a temp gauge, because of the stop and go of paper delivery. Coil spring boosters and new swaybar links were put on to improve handling. This car also did a little Off Roading. It has been back to the Wolcottville Sand Pits, and the Baja Trail in Lebanon all the way to Hazelrig. It was a good road trip car, as it was roomy with removable t-tops. The only drawback was that it used up a lot of gas.BBaja BBg ggggrr

Lock the doors

The one night the door was left unlocked, the Pioneer stereo was ripped off. the neighbor across the alley's car had also been ripped off.

Chevy 350

Power came from a Chevy 350, that replaced the 6-shooter that was originally in it. It had the balls to spin the tires, but the rochester 2 bbl carb starved its potential. The motor came from an 81 truck

One quick fix was to hack the exhaust and put a cherry bomb under it. The car was loud, but people knew there newspaper was coming.

Mertal hit a deer while I was still in Lebanon, and later came down to visit. the hood was sloghtly crumpled, and the driver side fender was a little dinged up. He was going to replace the hood and the front clip, so he let me paint the hood. You would be surprised at what you could do with just masking tape and 99 cent spray paint. Later he replaced the parts, and we painted them to match. this led to the painting of he whole car, like you see in the pictures.

We thought it was fun to get stupid in the mud. It was an inconvenience to park on or around the mound in our driveway. So one day when it rained, we took it upon ourselves to tear up the mound and get our cars dirty. I had wrecked my Grand Am, and I was driving a Subaru. The Grand Prix got stuck on the mound, as did the Subaru, so we had to push each other with our cars up and over the mud. It was something to do, and we were proud ow who could get the most mud on our cars. Poop Games as we called it.
