On the way to work today I was pasted by a new Tacoma, standard cab, and a
Ford Ranger, about a 97 I believe. They were run pretty fast and I just let
them go on by, I caught up with them at a red light here on the four lane in
front of Wal Marts. After you go through this light it is about 1/2 mile to
the top of the hill, all straight. Ok after saying all that this is what
happened.
The Tacoma is in the left lane and the Ranger is in the right and I am right
behind the Ranger.
You could tell they were going to go at it when the light changed so I
thought I might as well go to. When the light changed we all opened up, to
be honest I thought the toy would probably win but I was surprised. The
ranger and I pulled ahead of the toy far enough for me to just move over
into the left lane in front of the Tacoma, we were about haft way up the
hill and I was gaining on ranger slowly but gaining. By the time we made it
to the top of the hill the Ranger's front bumper was even with my right door
and still falling back slowly but he had to let off because we were catching
up with a car in his lane but I had all ready came from behind him to half a
truck in front of him before he had to let off. The Tacoma was about two
trucks behind me and falling back more, I did not let off until I hit that
lousy 90 MPH mark and it shut off, I HATE that, then I moved over into the
right lane, They both caught up as I slowed down and as they went by I waved
bye to them, They both knew they had been beaten by the best - ZR2 -. I'm
glad they didn't know that I couldn't go any faster, there has to be a way
to get around that 90 mph shut down.
This is a true story it happened today
