The KR87 will be familiar to most users and requires little further explanation.

Hit "ADF" for direction finding. Release it for identing. RMI Display Needle should adopt "3 o'clock" position for testing purposes (when "ADF" is "out").

Use the BFO where the type of NDB transmitter requires it.

"Freq" enters pre-set standby frequency.

"Flt/ET" provide flight time and elapsed timings.

"SET/RST" provide timer/stopwatch facility.

"On/Off" powers the unit up, and provide volume control for Ident signal.

Select MHz (in standby freq) by rotating outside (large) knob on Right Hand side. Select KHz by rotating inner knurled knob.
