Deerhaven Farm Bale & Breakfast
Deerhaven Farm is please to host equestrians, and birdwatchers, on our 72 acre farm. Located minutes from the 401 and downtown Kingston, Ontario, with easy access to the Cataraqui Trail extension of the Canada Trail.
Our new limestone barn can accomodate two horses in airy box stalls with straw beds, and you can exercise your horse in our sand ring. Your dormer-windowed bedroom has a full private bath, and overlooks the horse paddock; and in the morning you can enjoy your continental breakfast while you watch the activities at the bird feeders. We can accomodate two guests that are willing to share a queen-sized bed.
Birderwatchers can handfeed chickadees, and are likely to see redwinged blackbirds, meadowlarks, goldfinches, house finches, bluejays, downy and hairy woodpeckers, mourning doves, eastern kingbird, great blue heron, eastern bluebirds, barn swallows, and northern orioles, with occasional sightings of pileated woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, cardinals, rosebreasted grosbeaks, bald eagles, indigo bunting, red headed woodpeckers, and bobolinks.
