My First Moose


10 Point Bull Moose 700 lbs
Moose season was 3 days long. We didn`t get out
till the second day because of rain.
It was late in the afternoon and I started to call
with a rolled up tarpaper cone.Within 10 minutes there was an
answer from a moose.I turned to my brother Mike and said"do
you hear him?"Mike said " No !" I said " think moose." Within 15 minutes the moose was standing
broadside to us.I placed 1 hit and it was over !
How are we going to get this large beast into
my truck?It was dark by now.I looked up a road
and ,away in the distance , there were two small lights.
I told Mike to turn the truck lights on...fast.
The lights were coming closer. I said to Mike,"can I have 2 cans of beer?"
Mike said,"you don`t drink !" I replied"Mabey those guys do and they might help
us put the moose in the back of the truck."
For 2 cans of beer,2 complete strangers helped us put the moose into the back of my truck.
On the way home Mike said "Is it that easy?" I said "Yes , when you know what you
are doing.[ha,ha,ha]"
