A Requiem Mass for REV. FR. JOHN D. HEALY, SVD, was celebrated at 3:00 PM at the Mary Help of Christians High School Seminary, Binmaley, Pangasinan, where Fr. Healy was assigned for the last 50 years!. Archbishop Oscar V. Cruz, DD, the Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan, was the main presider. Several SVD confreres of Fr. Healy were there led by the Provincial Fr. Pugat, SVD, and some members of the provincial council, Fr. Denny Lucas, SVD, parish priest of St. Therese Parish, Dagupan City, Fr. August Herbers, SVD, who was the former parish priest of Our Lady of the Purification Parish, Binmaley, Pangasinan and the first parish priest of Jesus, the Nazarene Parish, Dulag, Binmaley, Pangasinan.

Fr. Healy, an institution in the Mary Help of Christians High School Seminary died last 31 August 2000. Archbishop Cruz, in his homily, recalled the hesitancy of Fr. Healy, even in his old age and pain, "to leave the seminarians, not the seminary. great was his love and concern for the seminarians". After the mass, he formally thanked the SVD for "giving Fr. Healy to us". The Archbishop said: "He was a gift to you; he was gift to us from you".

To Fr. Healy, thank you for the gift of your person... for you zeal and dedication in the formation of future priests... and for practically forming the present clergy of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan!
