During these difficult times in our country, you are all in my mind and in my prayers in a very special way.

It is becoming more dificult for your parents to buy the food you want, the clothes you need, the things you ask for. It is becoming harder for them to continue sending you to school, to give you your daily pocket money. This is because our country is having a big economic trouble. There is less money to spend. Yet everything costs so much. Many people have no work. Yet those who work receive little for their labor.

It is also becoming more difficult for your parents to keep you safe: to keep you safe from bad people. To keep you safe from bad movies. To keep you safe from bad examples.

This is because our country is afflicted with more criminality just as it is disturbed by more immorality. There is less trust among people. There is less serenity in the neighborhood.

That is why, I am thinking of you and praying for you in a very special way during these trying times.

The great consolation I have is when I recall how Jesus loves children, blesses children, assures children that haeven is theirs (Mt. 19: 13-15).

And this is why I am asking you  to pray for our country -- so that our difficult present would come to pass soon. Jesus who loves you so much will find it hard not to liten to you, to answer your prayers.
