SYNOPSIS

Produced by Jay Tarses, this offbeat situation comedy satirized the 1940's detective movies.

Dave Brodsky was a San Francisco private eye who ran a used record store on the side. His latest case involved tailing philandering clothing-catalog tycoon Christopher Cody on behalf of his suspicious wife, Margo. As soon as Brodsky found out about Christopher's mistress, voluptuous model Eve Saskatchewan, he found himself entangled in a murder case and in romantic situations that involved both Margo and Eve!

The serialized story followed the case through twists and turns for four weeks before NBC abruptly cancelled it - leaving the Cody case unsolved.
