NBC got an "A" for effort but few viewers for this series of specials hosted by the controversial former U.S. Surgeon General, Koop, a pediatric surgeon known for both his strong opinions and his distinctive full beard, remarked "I'm not trying to be an unbiased commentator," and he wasn't. Subjects included teenage sexuality (in which teens shared their views with the 74-year-old Koop), the doctor-patient relationship, and problems with the entire U.S. health care system.
