SYNOPSIS

A documentary-style dramatization of recent cases from the files of the F.B.I., dating from the 1970's to the 1990's. There were no continuing characters, and the roles of key participants in each case were played by different actors each week. Actual newsreel and surveillance films were used to lend authenticity. Cases included that of the extortionist who held Harvey's Casino in Lake Tahoe hostage with a huge bomb (and wound up blowing the place up); the daring infiltration of the Bonanno crime family by an F.B.I. agent; the 1979 assassination of a federal judge; and a 1986 Miami shoot-out that left two agents dead.
