SYNOPSIS
Mix a little
bit of Love Boat with a touch of
Fantasy Island,
wrap the entire package as a detective series, and you have Finder of Lost
Loves. Cary Maxwell was a wealthy widower who, after the untimely death of
his beloved wife Kate, had decided to devote the remainder of his working life
reuniting star-crossed lovers and tracking down old flames. With the help of his
beautiful assistant, Daisy (Kate's sister), his young trainee, Brian, and his
efficient office manager, Rita, Cary sought to bring romance back into the lives
of others. In this high-tech contemporary world it was not surprising that his
most valued asset was Oscar, the computer he used to tie pieces of information
together and locate the missing people his clients sought. Each episode
contained two or three separate stories, and most resolved themselves into
appropriately satisfying happy endings, the trademark of producer Aaron
Spelling, who was also responsible for the aforementioned Love Boat and
Fantasy Island.
