SYNOPSIS
This
short-lived summer detective series, set in Los Angeles, followed the cases of
Jackson Beaudine, a private investigator who made the most of his extended
family.
A three-time
loser in marital wars, Jackson was on very good terms with his ex-wives. Mary,
his first wife and the only one who had remarried, was an attorney and had
custody of their 10-year-old son, Andrew. Her legal advice always provided
helpful. Sam – wife number two – was an actress, master of disguise, and martial
arts expert, and loved to help Jackson out whenever he needed her assistance;
and third wife Liz, a newspaper reporter with keen analytical skills and a host
of useful contacts, also came in handy. The three of them, all too chummy to
believe, seemed more than willing to work individually or together to assist
Jackson in his investigations on this rather lighthearted show.
