SYNOPSIS

Nicholas Flemming, by day, was a business-suited, successful author of children's books - but by night, he was Sable - a slender, bookish crime-fighter and avenger of wrongs who wore stripes of black greasepaint on his face, wore a black jumpsuit and hood and had a perpetual scowl. He was an unusual TV hero because he actually worried a great deal. A trauma in his past left him with an aversion to violence (he had once killed a man). He was a sort of modern-day Spiderman, clinging to window ledges, being attacked by criminals, etc... only without the web!

Cast members included: Eden, his supportive girlfriend and literary agent; Myke, the illustrator of Flemming's children's books; Cynthia, his secretary and Cheesecake, a pudgy, blind computer hacker who was his main source of information and the only other person who knew Sable's true identity. The show was filmed on location in Chicago.
