Shania has had 1 chronic problem since she had the pharyngeal flap surgery and I know for a fact it was because of the surgery. I urge any parent that the craniofacial team has recommended the pharyngeal flap for speech to get 2 opinions from speech therapists. Shania has the top speech pathologist in our state and my mistake was not going for a 2nd opinion and doing some research.
