I know a child who is a star
even tho she has a scar
sometimes she feels so far away
when the children wont play
they call her names
and wont play games
she tells the teacher
and goes to the preacher
he bends down on one knee
and he says to me
your surrounded by friends
that has no dead ends
in the morning light
you will spread your flight
everyone you meet
will see your face when they sleep
a widesmile is what you are
its gonna make you a star
your spirit is in the making
its not for the taking
your laughter will make you untouchable
your smile will break the unbreakable
like an angel you will soar
into their hearts till they cant take no more
they will speak your name
it will be in fame
the kids that made fun of you
will reappear out of the blue
although they made you feel sad
and they hurt your feelings really bad
you learned a lesson in life
to take the good and bad in strife
to teach you to become a star
because thats what you are!
