The Story
The story takes place in ancient China, during the Yin Dynasty. The emperor of Chouka, Chu-oh, has fallen under the spell of a beautiful, evil foxdemon in human form by the name of Dakki, who possesses great power as well as great sexappeal. She has the emperor do whatever she wishes throwing the land into disorder. On top of that, Dakki released 365 demons all over the world to ravage it. In order to save the Human World, one of the greatest Sennins of the Celestrial World assign a Doushi(person practising to be a Sennin) to a mission to seal every single one of these 365 demons which is called the "Houshin Project".. and so we meet our main hero, Taikoubou. This extremely lazy Doushi now goes on a journey to save the world with his spiritbeast sidekick, Suupuushan. Will he be able to outsmart Dakki and all her allies?

On the way Taikoubou makes many allies of his own.. and when I say many, I mean MANY! ^^ Itīs almost hard to keep track of every single one of them. The manga/anime-series is based on the novel Feng Shen Yan Yi written back in Dynastic China. The manga contains of 23 volumes and one extra in which slight changes has been made into Taikoubou's character. It was also made into a one season anime of 26 episodes, thatīs out on DVD in not just japan, but also in the US!
