Amontillado
"Finally," Amontillado whispered with relief as she looked down at her wingknots on her left shoulder.  Jr. Weyrwoman, Wingrider in Bruetam Wing at Tarizal.  Life was definately going good- she and Kiotinath had finally made it out of weyrling training, and nothing had gone wrong yet.

Kiotinath grinned draconicaly as Amontillado walked out into the weyrbowl, mounting on her red dragon.
Amontillado, there's a place that I want to stop before we go onto Tarizal, she said smugly.  It's a lovely Weyr, called Tripaldi.  Do you think that Seharia would mind too greatly if we were late?

A rebellious grin flashed on Amontillado's face.  "I think that she would," the young woman said, "But I truthfuly don't care.  Let's go."  A curious look crossed her features.  "Why do you want to go?"

Because there are nicer males at Tripaldi.

Amontillado yelled something at that moment, but it was lost as Kiotinath blinked
between, reappearing of Tripaldi.  However, the rider was still obviously angry.  "Kiotinath!" she yelled.  "Why didn't you tell me that you were close to rising?  And why do you want to rise here, of all places?"

Kiotinath was quick with her replies.
First off, I didn't tell you because I knew that if I did, then you wouldn't have let me come.

"Sharding right I wouldn't," Amontillado growled.  "So go on-answer my second question.  I want a complete explination."

I already gave you the answer to the second question. The males are nicer.  Besides, Tripaldi is new, and they could use a beautiful red like me on their flight tables, don't you think?  Kiotinath swivled her head as a brown winged down to his weyr.  Oh, come off it, Amontillado.  Just because you don't want to end up in bed with some strange rider...

"That's exactly it!" Amontillado yelled in frustration.  "I absoloutely don't want to end up with some strange rider.  Can't we go to Tarizal, where I can atleast get to know some of the riders?  No one here really knows me."

Kiotinath sighed in exasperation.
You can get to know the males here just as well as you can the ones at Tarizal.  No one knows you over there, either.  Except Erilam, but I doubt that she'd be any help in the mating flight department.

Huffing angrily, Amontillado dismounted and went to the Weyrwoman's office about staying until Kiotinath rose and the eggs hatched, while the red spread her wings regaly, surveying the place about her.
